Do you meditate?

How to become an advanced meditator?
In a recent interview with Dr Joe Dispenza, he shared some valuable tips from his seminars, which have helped thousands of people clear their minds and reach their goals after attending...
He began by stating that you need a new level of mind, and your 'inward changes your outer world', which was due to the mind and body connection, which suggests that our thoughts, feelings, and beliefs can significantly impact our physical health and bodily functions. Most guests attended his retreats to heal, but to heal, one needed to change first, and they assisted with that, alongside 35+ hours of meditation within a week.
As your mind can relive your past experiences through having the same feeling, and this can happen 50-100 times per day, as long as you have the same emotion, your body can still relive negative experiences. Also, overanalysing them can make them even worse. Dr Joe stated the best ways to get over these emotions were to 'Open your heart' and focus much more on love, gratitude, kindness and caring! He told a story about working with ex-veterans, prisoners, people with traumatic childhoods, and a Navy Seal stated, "My heart blew right open" when the seminar had finished and he was grateful to have his life back, when he was questioning a lot of things as nothing was working for his PTSD.
He also added, up to "50% of people's pasts were not true", and it was just a memory they created, and they were reliving it over and over again. As well as our beliefs are simply just thoughts we keep repeating over and over again, and up to 95% of us were programmed. So, 'metacognition' was key to overcoming that by awareness and understanding our thought process. The main thing he shared was "Practice being present", to become more conscious and aware of everything in your daily life. As we have a 'default mode' and our brains will always try and keep us safe, through thousands of years of programming!!!
You will all probably be aware of what 'fight or flight means', and this is down to our biology. We need our nervous system to be regulated, and if not, this will create the stress hormone, and nobody can live in this state for long without creating disease as a result. If you can relax your heart, feel safe and then the brain will start to get creative. You need to become better than your environment, settle the body down, and then your mind can be trained after.
The main reasons people don't change: 1) They simply don't want to and are addicted to drama and trauma emotions, 2) Depression: As they cannot learn the info down to their emotional state, 3) Their brain is already programmed, and they cannot accept change. However, just like being negative and trying to drag others down, instead of elevating yourself, health and wellness can also be infectious, and you progress together!!! Dr Joe even gave examples of groups of people being able to walk again after many years as a result of them all connecting in this way, at the same event!
He showed how the brainwaves work and how they take you through stages, so you were able to receive the info and not just dismiss it, because if people were not in the right frame of mind, you may give them the EXACT ANSWER they were looking for and not only would they not agree, they would even argue against it!

Dr Joe ended by stating that even if the guests had never meditated in their lives, by the end of the week, they were all 'advanced meditators', as they explained to them in the beginning, it was normal for your mind to wander, wanting to open your eyes and stand up, due to teaching them how to train their brains to go against thousands of years of programming worrying about the unknown...
Our top tips that work for us: Chanting and mantra repetition. Practice focusing on different parts of your body, noticing any sensations. Integrate mindfulness into your daily activities, such as mindful listening, mindful eating, and mindful movement. Explore different meditation techniques and find what resonates with you. Consider working with a meditation teacher or joining a retreat. Hone your ability to focus on one point, such as the breath, a thought, or an object. Expect your mind to wander and practice gently redirecting your attention back to your chosen focus. Choose a comfortable and peaceful environment where you can minimise distractions. If longer sessions feel daunting, begin with shorter durations. Make meditation a daily habit!
I seriously enjoyed this interview and have watched the full podcast x3 in 7 days, as meditation has helped me with terrible ADHD and going from sitting there watching my 5-minute timer countdown on my phone, to doing 30 mins in darkness, as soon as I have finished writing this ;)
We are all huge fans of Dr Joe Dispenza's work here at Hy-Lyfe and cannot wait to attend one of his events! Please do remember to follow us below on SM for more!
