Who's next for Cacace?

Is Leigh Wood a real-life Rocky? Only time will tell if he comes back...

Saturday, May 10th - Queensberry & DAZN in Nottingham.

This was Queensberry's second fight card since switching from TNT, and it DID NOT disappoint. We watched the prelims from 3 pm as well and there was certainly a lot of value for money here too as Queensberry promoter Frank Warren likes to stack the cards as much as he can...

1) Owen Cooper (10-1) vs Chris Kongo (17-2)

AND THE WINNER IS... Cooper! He had a BIG WIN over Kongo and was bouncing back from defeat.
It was 96-94, over 10 rounds, and just the ref scored it for some unknown reason. Cooper moves on to an 11-1 record, and the door has been opened for much bigger bouts down the road.

2) Liam Davies (16-1) vs Kurt Walker (12-0)

AND THE WINNER IS... Davies and a real fight for the fans, and they were both up for it since the weigh-in, where they nearly started round 1!

117-111, 115-113, 116-112 U.D. Davies takes Walker's 0 and moves to 17-1 himself, with some big options coming up as a result.

3) Ezra Taylor (11-0) vs Troy Jones (12-0)

AND THE WINNER IS... Taylor
97-94, 110-90, 99-91 U.D. It was a lot closer than the scorecards show; this was a close match-up and a great co-main event to get the fans in the arena excited. Taylor is trained in the US by Malik Scott and now moves on to 12-0 and is one to watch out for, with his hard-hitting hands and fan-friendly style!

4) ***MAIN EVENT***

Anto Cacace (23-1) vs Leigh Wood (28-3)

AND THE WINNER IS... Cacace in Rnd 9 by TKO, as Woods' corner threw in the towel. This could be the end for Leigh Wood !?!

We think the stoppage came at the right time as Woods' legs had gone and he was not in control. Ben Davison saved the 36-year-old for another day and possibly 1 more title shot with all those Forest fans he's gained. Cacace moves on to 24-1, and Warren said he will take him back to Belfast for a huge homecoming fight as a result...

Queensberry's next event...

TAYLOR V ESSUMAN

Saturday 24th May - Queensberry & DAZN - Glasgow.
Josh Taylor (19-2) vs Ekow Essuman (21-1)
