Fisher Vs Allen 2 fight feedback

The White Rhino defeats The Romford Bull… BOSH!

Fisher Vs Allen 2. Saturday, 17 May 2025 at the Copper Box in East London. A Matchroom Boxing event live on DAZN, and it did not disappoint! We did not make the prelims due to the FA Cup Final, but the main card did not disappoint, headlined by a rematch that most people thought Allen won in Saudi Arabia, but the decision went to Fisher. It was a full arena, with mainly fans from Essex in attendance, due to the fighters on the card and the location. The atmosphere was amazing as it started to fill up...

 1) Southern Area Middleweight Title:

Jimmy Sains Vs Gideon Onyenani AND THE WINNER IS... Sains 100-90, 100-91, 98-92 U.D.

It went the distance for Sains' toughest test yet. He won his previous 9 fights by KO and now moves on to 10-0 with a Middleweight title to defend.

75% of you voted for Sains to win the fight on our X poll, and he was well ahead from start to finish.

2) British & Commonwealth Middleweight Championship:

Kieron Conway Vs Gerome Warburton AND THE WINNER IS... Conway in round 4, after some devastating body shots, Warburton looked like he was going down from them, but due to his bravery, the corner threw in the towel. He is known as 'The Breadmaker', and he certainly got cooked by Conway in this match-up. I have done a 5k race with him, and he is one of the good guys in boxing! 100% of you voted for Conway on our X poll, but it started a lot closer with  Warburton holding his own and landing some big shots himself before getting stopped in the corner.

3) George Liddard  Vs Aaron Sutton

AND THE WINNER IS... Liddard with a Round 5 K.O., Sutton got dropped in rnd 1 by a left hook, in rnd 2 by an overhand right, and then again in Rnd 5 with another big right, that dropped him badly. He then stares at his corner for advice, and they throw in the towel. It was a tough task for him, and he did turn up to fight, but was just bullied around the ring by Liddard for the most part. Liddard moves on to 12-0 with 7 knockouts now, and it sets up a brutal British Title shot Vs Kieron Conway potentially next. 88.9% voted for Liddard to win!!!

4) *MAIN EVENT * Johnny Fisher Vs Dave Allen 2

AND THE WINNER IS... Allen via Rnd 5 knockout. We think Allen clearly won the first bout; he came in at a career heaviest for the rematch, so you would think he was not planning to go the distance. Fisher started off fast with some nice jabs, and they both started throwing some big bombs, which did not land. 75% of you voted for Fisher FTW, and we backed him as well. Allen had 33 fights at the age of 33 and seems to have been around forever. Fisher has a fast and powerful jab, maybe winning him the early rounds, he also landed some nice uppercuts early on as well. Fisher, who is 26, also played rugby and has 13 wins on his record. There was a lot of tying up in the clinch throughout. Allen landed a nice left hook, Fisher landed a few low blows and was lucky not to get a point taken off. Fisher kept landing uppercuts, and Allen kept walking through them, too. The fight started to catch fire in round 4, and heavyweight boxing only takes 1 punch to win!!! A 'Guest Judge' had Fisher 4-0 up at this point, we thought it was probably 2-2. Fisher started Rnd 5 with another nice uppercut, then Allen lands his own shortly after! The fight started to get messy, then Allen lands BIG and Fisher just shook his head, tries to hold on and then gets dropped shortly after, makes the count, with 10 secs left and tries to fight back instead of holding, Allen lands some big blows and Fisher lands face down, as the towel comes in as well! A great rematch and a decisive winner, with no need for a trilogy in our opinion.
